The walls are 10mm treated timber and the floors are 13mm. That's thick enough to feel sturdy underfoot and to hold warmth through a cold spell. Every panel is finished with a non-toxic, pet-safe preservative to guard against rain and rot. Built-in legs lift the base off damp ground, which improves airflow keeping the hutch drier.

Security matters in a garden where foxes visit at night. Heavy-duty wire mesh and reinforced sliding bolts are designed to keep predators out and your pets settled.

Cleaning is quicker than you might expect. Swivel kick-boards let you sweep old bedding straight out rather than scraping it from the corners. Upstairs and downstairs give you natural zones too: one for eating and moving about, one for sleeping.

How the Hutch Hugger™ works

Fitting takes a couple of minutes. Hook the straps under the rear legs, drop the Hugger over the hutch, adjust the straps and press the Velcro closed.

The clear front window lets you check on your pets without lifting anything. When it's time to feed or clean lift or roll up the clear front for easy access. The cover stays in place, so you won't be taking it off and wrestling it back on every day. Dry bedding lasts longer and dry food stays fresher, which saves money over a winter.
